Legal action against police and public organisations
Legal help to challenge something done by a public organisation. You might have been told you need to bring a ‘judicial review’.
This includes organisations like:
- schools or other education settings
- council, social services, local authority
- NHS, hospitals
- housing providers
- a government department or agency
- foster carers, care homes, care facilities
It also includes problems with the police, prisons or detention centres, for example if you’ve been:
- wrongfully arrested, stopped, held or detained anywhere
- physically, sexually or emotionally abused
